Patriot Golf Day was originated in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 Pilot, PGA Professional and USGA member from Broken Arrow, Okla., who has served three tours of duty in Iraq. Patriot Golf Day benefits the Folds of Honor Foundation, a legacy foundation designed to provide scholarships for dependents and spouses of service members that have been killed or disabled as a result of their military service.
Enjoy a round of golf on the Famous TPC Blue Monster Course or our Newly renovated Gold Course , Lunch, Closest to the Pin and Long Drive Contests, Prizes for the top 2 teams.. Format – 4 person teams – best 2 of 4 gross.
Proceeds from this event will go directly back to the Folds of Honor Foundation.
The inaugural 2007 fundraising campaign produced funds of more than $1.1 million through the participation of more than 3,800 golf facilities nation wide. In 2008, Patriot Golf Day raised approximately $2 million, resulting in nearly 200 scholarship awards to these deserving families. On Sunday, September 5th, Doral Golf Resort and Spa will do our part to help raise mony for this wonderful cause.

FAIRWAYS FURLOUGHS MILITARY GOLF PROGRAM
Members of the armed forces can now take advantage of discounted green fees/carts, ranging from just $29 - $69 (valid on Red, Gold and McLean Courses). This program is available after 3 p.m. any day of the week, year round. Tee times can be made up to three days in advance, and a valid military ID card must be presented.

KIDS GOLF FOR FREE AT DORAL
Designed to promote the game of golf among a younger audience, Doral is giiving kids the opportunity to tee off for free with Marriott KIDS-GOLF-4-FREE program. For kids looking to don the coveted green jacket just like Tiger, this program allows children to work on their handicap and seek pointers from expert golfers while hitting the links during their vacation.
