BLUE MONSTER COURSE:
YARDAGE: 6701 | SLOPE / RATING: 72.2 / 125
Originally designed by noted architect Dick Wilson, over the past 20 years the TPC Blue Monster has been modified and updated to meet the demands of the PGA Tour by two-time Doral Golf Resort & Spa Champion and hall-of-famer Raymond Floyd and world Renowned golf instructor, Jim McLean. Most recently the greens and bunkers were modernized under the watchful eye of the PGA TOUR for the WGC Cadillac Championships whose inaugural event was played in 2007. That year, hole #18 was ranked the Toughest Hole on the PGA TOUR.
In 2013, world renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse has been retained to redesign and enhance the Blue Monster. Working closely with Donald J. Trump and the PGA TOUR leadership, Mr. Hanse's plans include bringing the Blue Monster up to the highest standards and level of golf. The Blue Monster course will be closed for renovations April 1 - December 1, 2013.
